Bring Take-Out

Many people go out of their way to cook during their tailgating party. Whether that includes grilling some burgers or cooking something more elaborate in the RV’s kitchen, the impulse for many people is to make their own meal. But tailgating is supposed to be a time of celebration and entertainment, so why not let someone else do the cooking for you? Picking up a big order of take out will make your planning process much easier and it will free up a lot of time on the day of the party.

Mobile Hand Washing Station

When the food is ready, people are most likely going to want to dig in as soon as possible. An outdoor hand washing station allows people to quickly and easily wash their hands and then get to eating without having to navigate the RV door, bathroom, or crowded RV interior. Just put a water bucket with a spigot on the edge of a table and put a collection bucket under it. Set a roll of paper towels and some hand soap next to it and you’re good to go.

Set Up an Outdoor Living Room

When it’s time to establish your homebase, an outdoor living room can be a great way to make a comfortable space that inviting to everyone. Start by setting up a canopy or awning to give you protection from the sun or any potential precipitation. The awning on your RV should work just fine for this. If you have an old rug or carpet remnant, you can lay that down on the ground to give a more cozy feeling to the area. If it does start raining, the carpet will help to keep mud from splashing everywhere. Next, set up the seating arrangements and, if you need it, a space heater. A small propane space heater is an efficient and affordable way to keep things warm. Finally, consider setting up a TV to catch the games that come on before the game you’re there to see.

Lawn Games

Lawn games are a great way to have fun with your guests and a good way to bring other people into your group. Cornhole is a classic lawn game that can be purchased for relatively cheap or made if you have some basic woodworking tools and some free time to do so. A simple frisbee is easy to pack and can be used for frisbee golf, ultimate frisbee, or for tossing around. Of course, if you’re going to be watching a baseball or football game, what’s better than tossing around a pig skin or baseball?

Keep Your RV Warm

Depending on the time of year, you might need to fight some severe weather conditions to keep the party going. If there’s even a slight chance that the weather will turn south, you’ll want to have somewhere warm and protected to go for shelter. Luckily, your RV is the perfect choice! Turn on the heat when you park for the day and keep things cozy so that if the time comes, the party can move inside without any problems. Even if weather doesn’t force you inside,
